Group therapy is one of the most powerful tools we offer. It gives you the chance to connect with others who get it — people who are showing up for themselves, just like you.
At Orion, our groups are led by trained clinicians who know how to hold space, guide honest conversations, and help you feel seen — without pressure or performative healing. Just real people doing real work, together.
Group therapy gives you the chance to learn from others, practice new skills, and be witnessed in a way that individual therapy just can’t replicate.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming—we’re here to make it simple and stress-free. Here’s how we help:
From scheduling your first appointment to understanding your goals, we’ll walk you through every step of the process.
We’ll work with you to understand your coverage or help you explore affordable payment options.
Each group is different, but most include a mix of therapist guidance, open discussion, and supportive check-ins. Some groups are more structured (like skills groups), and others are more process-based (focused on emotional sharing and connection). You’re never forced to speak — you set your pace.
All of our groups are led by licensed therapists from the Orion collective. They’re experienced in trauma-informed care, group dynamics, and creating safe spaces for honest conversation and emotional growth.
Nope. You’re encouraged to show up how you are. Many people start by listening and gradually open up when they feel ready. There’s no pressure to perform or overshare. We honor your comfort zone.
In individual therapy, you explore your experiences one-on-one with your therapist. In group therapy, you learn and grow in community — by hearing others’ stories, practicing new skills, and realizing you’re not alone in what you’re going through. It offers a different kind of healing that many find deeply validating.
Not here. Our groups are facilitated with intention. While emotional expression is welcome, we focus on insight, support, and growth — not just staying in the pain. You’ll gain tools, perspective, and community, not just space to talk.
Yes. During the onboarding process, you’ll input your insurance information into the client portal, and our billing team will verify your coverage.
We’ll let you know your out-of-pocket costs before your first session. If you’re paying out of pocket, insurance submission isn’t required.
We believe in transparency when it comes to therapy costs. The price of sessions varies based on your therapist’s credentials and whether you’re using insurance or paying out of pocket. Here’s a breakdown of our standard rates:
Associate Therapists (APCC, AMFT, ACSW)
Most affordable option, working under licensed supervision
Licensed Therapists (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW)
Psychologists (PsyD, PhD)
Best for in-depth psychological work and complex mental health concerns
We accept insurance and will verify your coverage during the onboarding process. Once verified, we’ll provide you with a clear breakdown of your out-of-pocket costs based on your plan. If you’re paying out of pocket, no insurance submission is required
If cost is a concern, we encourage you to ask about our lower-cost associate therapists or potential sliding scale options based on financial need.

The cost of therapy is based on the therapist’s level of experience and qualifications:
Regardless of the provider you choose, you’ll receive high-quality, professional care from a therapist committed to your growth and well-being.
If cost is a concern, let us know. We can explore out-of-network reimbursement, sliding-scale rates, or alternative resources to help make therapy more accessible.
You can reach out via our email us at [email protected], or schedule a free consultation to learn more. Some groups are open enrollment; others are closed and run for a set number of weeks. We’ll help you find the right fit.
