Because the people we love can also be the hardest to talk to.
Every family has its challenges. Maybe it’s miscommunication that keeps spiraling into conflict. Maybe it’s silence, distance, or tension that you can’t quite name. Maybe your household is going through a big shift — divorce, grief, trauma, or just growing apart.
Whatever’s happening, we’re here to help you make sense of it, together.
At Orion, we offer family therapy that’s grounded, culturally aware, and real. We don’t take sides or hand out quick fixes. We create a space where everyone in the room has a voice — and where the goal isn’t perfection, it’s understanding.
We work with chosen family, multigenerational households, and non-traditional family structures, too. However your family is built — we’re here for it.
Whether it’s yelling, walking out, or total silence — communication breakdown is one of the most common reasons families reach out.
We help you create safer, clearer ways to speak and listen without spiraling.
Disconnection happens slowly. Over time, it can feel like you’re roommates instead of family.
We help you rebuild trust and connection so your home feels more like a team again.
When children or teens struggle, it often reflects deeper stress in the system.
We support families in understanding behavior, setting healthy boundaries, and making sure everyone feels seen — not just blamed.
Blended families. Immigrant families. Chosen families. Families with queer and trans kids. Multigenerational households. We work with all of it — with therapists who are trained and culturally aware, not judgmental or outdated.
Loss, addiction, trauma, divorce — big events impact everyone, but not always in the same way.
We help families name the pain, hold space for the grief, and begin to heal — together.
We’re not here to fix your family. We’re here to help your family understand itself — and learn how to move through hard things without hurting each other more.
That means:
No shaming or blaming.
Space for every voice (even the quiet ones).
Tools that actually work in real life.
A therapist who gets it — and doesn’t judge.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming—we’re here to make it simple and stress-free. Here’s how we help:
From scheduling your first appointment to understanding your goals, we’ll walk you through every step of the process.
We’ll work with you to understand your coverage or help you explore affordable payment options.
If things feel tense, stuck, distant, or chaotic — it’s worth a conversation. You don’t have to be in crisis. We support families through everything from daily friction to major life shifts. If you’re wondering “should we try this?” — it probably means something needs care.
We’ll start by getting to know your family structure and what brings you in. We’ll talk about dynamics, what feels hard right now, and what your hopes are for therapy.
It’s a gentle entry — not an interrogation. No one gets blamed or singled out.
Not necessarily. Sometimes not everyone is ready — and that’s okay. We work with whoever shows up and build from there. Sometimes we start with a parent and child, or just one parent and the therapist.
Family therapy is flexible — the goal is movement, not perfection.
All kinds. Traditional, non-traditional, blended, chosen, queer, multigenerational, immigrant, co-parenting after separation — you name it.
We work to understand your family’s unique structure and values, not force it into a mold.
Absolutely. We often work with families that include children, adolescents, or young adults. We’re trained in age-appropriate approaches and will make sure every family member — no matter their age — feels respected and safe.
We offer all three—fully in-person, fully virtual, or a combination of both, depending on what works best for you.
We know life gets busy. You can reschedule sessions as long as it’s at least 12 hours in advance. Late cancellations are subject to a $100 fee.
Yes, we offer a free 15-minute consultation to match you with the right therapist. After that, you’ll complete intake forms and schedule your first full session.
You don’t have to figure it out alone. When you reach out to Orion, we’ll ask a few questions to get a sense of your needs, family dynamics, and preferences. From there, we’ll recommend a therapist whose style, experience, and training match what your family is navigating.
That’s real — and valid. Sometimes the therapist wasn’t the right fit, or the approach didn’t match your family’s values.
At Orion, we’re intentional about how we match clients. We’ll also ask what didn’t work last time, so we don’t repeat it.
Yes. We have a diverse collective of clinicians who specialize in working with blended families, LGBTQIA+ families, immigrant families, families with teens, families facing grief, trauma, or addiction — and more.
Whatever your situation, we likely have someone who truly gets it.
Absolutely. If you’re unsure about fit, we can set up a brief consultation call. It’s a no-pressure way to ask questions, get a feel for the therapist’s style, and decide if it’s the right match.
That’s okay — most families don’t.
Just tell us a little about what’s been going on, and we’ll guide you. You don’t need the perfect language or diagnosis. We’re here to help you figure it out.
That’s important, and we take it seriously. You can always tell us if something doesn’t feel right — and we’ll help you find someone else within our team. No awkwardness, no guilt. We care more about the work being helpful than about keeping you with any specific clinician.
The first session is about understanding your family — not just the problem. We’ll talk through what’s bringing you in, how everyone’s been impacted, and what you hope to change. It’s not about placing blame or picking sides. We’re here to listen, get the big picture, and start creating a path forward together.
That depends on the issue and who’s open to being part of the process. Sometimes it’s the whole family. Other times we start with just parents, siblings, or specific dyads. We work with who’s ready and build from there. You’re not disqualified if someone’s hesitant.
We’re not here to hand out rules. We’re here to help your family understand what’s happening beneath the surface — and to support you with tools that actually work. You’ll get guidance, not judgment. Clarity, not commands.
That can happen — and it’s okay. Conflict often shows up in the room the way it does at home. The difference is, we’ll help slow things down and keep it safe. We create space for real emotion without letting things spiral.
Every family is different. Some start feeling relief after a few sessions. Others take longer, especially if the patterns are deep or the pain is fresh. We’ll check in regularly to make sure it’s still working and help you track progress along the way.
Yes — and sometimes, that’s where the real change starts. Every person in the family system has their own story, stress, and way of coping. If someone isn’t ready for family sessions or just needs space to work on their own stuff, we offer individual therapy alongside (or instead of) family work.
We’ve seen it many times: when one person starts healing, communicating differently, or setting healthy boundaries — the whole family shifts. Sometimes helping the individual is how the family begins to come together again.
Yes. During the onboarding process, you’ll input your insurance information into the client portal, and our billing team will verify your coverage.
We’ll let you know your out-of-pocket costs before your first session. If you’re paying out of pocket, insurance submission isn’t required.
We believe in transparency when it comes to therapy costs. The price of sessions varies based on your therapist’s credentials and whether you’re using insurance or paying out of pocket. Here’s a breakdown of our standard rates:
Associate Therapists (APCC, AMFT, ACSW)
Most affordable option, working under licensed supervision
Licensed Therapists (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW)
Psychologists (PsyD, PhD)
Best for in-depth psychological work and complex mental health concerns
We accept insurance and will verify your coverage during the onboarding process. Once verified, we’ll provide you with a clear breakdown of your out-of-pocket costs based on your plan. If you’re paying out of pocket, no insurance submission is required
If cost is a concern, we encourage you to ask about our lower-cost associate therapists or potential sliding scale options based on financial need.
